A Nora The Piano Cat Musical Web Series Is In The Works.

Announcing a fundraising campaign to produce the pilot episode of a new musical web series telling the street-to-starlet story of me, Nora The Piano Cat.

Official Announcement:
NORA THE MUSICAL is being created by Nora’s real-life mom – music educator/composer Betsy Alexander – in collaboration with lyricist Michael Biello and producer/arranger Dan Martin. All three are long-time creatives, with many award-winning musical theatre productions and films to their credit. They (with Nora’s blessing) are thrilled to come together to explore and celebrate the intense bond between humans and their pets, the rise of social media and its profound influence on all our lives, and the joyful, magical, healing power of music and art. WE INVITE, WELCOME, AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Nora Learns Her ABC’s – ABC News.com, That Is

I and my purrsonal assistants, Betsy and Burnell, were filmed and interviewed recently by ABC News. You can check out the broadcast below. It was so great meeting journalist Matteo Iadonisi, and I played quite a bit for him. Burnell and Betsy did alright, too, answering questions. Myself, I prefer the language of music.

BFF’s?

Nora and Jenny

Jenny, on the right, has been trying to be a snuggle buddy with me for years, maybe even a decade. I, however, have a well-earned reputation as a diva who does not seek the company of other cats. But Jenny has been patiently relentless in her attempts to be close to me. About a year ago, I softened to her advances, as you can see from this photo. I am truly adored. The high price of fame!

The Brightest Star

I sometimes get accused of being a diva, of being bossy or, believe it or not, self-indulgent. We media stars all get criticized for taking centerstage and enjoying it. But as a bright star, I was born to shine.

Case in point: the photograph below. Even though I am a gray cat surrounded by color, I stand out. I command attention. I shine.

Getting Ready for the 10th Anniversary of CATcerto

Today I got a Skype call from composer/conductor Mindaugas Piečaitis, the composer of CATcerto – all the way from Lithuania. He needed Betsy to setup and tryout a Skype connection, which will be used so that she and I can interact with the audience in Lithuania on March 6th, 2019 when Maestro Piecaitis conducts the Klaipeda Chamber Orchestra in a 10th Anniversary performance of CATcerto. If you have not yet seen CATcerto, and can’t make the March 6th concert in Lithuania, you can check out the premier performance on YouTube at ?<https://youtu.be/zeoT66v4EHg>. And yes, that’s me appearing on the big screen. Hard to believe it’s been 10 years. Enjoy! (That’s Burnell’s iPad in the foreground, and Maestro Piecaitis’ voice on the short video below.)

It’s Calendar Time & Nora has Six Great Calendars to Choose from…

Six Cool Nora Calendars

Now’s the time to order your calendar for 2017, and  I’ve got six to choose from – all about me. Who else, right? Anyway, they’re all beautiful and five of them feature wonderful photos of me shot by my purrsonal assistants, Burnell and Betsy. And one of them features twelve amazing artworks by my fans. That’s the Nora-Inspired Art Calendar. The twelve were the winners in this years Nora-Inspired Art Contest. All ages and all media were allowed. Some really beautiful art, if I do say so myself. And, of course, I do. How could they not be when you start a cat like…well, you get the point. Cool thing is, you can order your calendar to start on any month. So, if you don’t want to wait till January, 2017, you can order it to start in November or December of this year. How cool is that?
